MoT Advice

Over the winter months I took all the seats (except the drivers) out of my anglia. I'm also thinking of taking the drivers seat out and replacing it with a bucket seat and 4 point harness, to compete again in this years OSFDC. When I take the car for its MoT later in the year, do I have to put all the seats etc back in, or can I leave it?

No if there not there theres nothing to test but if there back in they must be in working order and seat belts fitted.

As long as it's fitted correctly, yes

So I would be ok to have a bucket seat and 1 securely fitted 4 point harness? They wouldn't fail it with that.

Aslong as there both fitted correctly and sacurely there shouldn't be a problem.

i took me rally car for mot the other week an the guy said it should have inercia seat belts an seat runners to pass i got my ticket tho i suppose it depends on the tester

Fed up now. Bought a bucket seat that doesn't fit so had to send it back, then realised my MOT is due at start of next month so decided to put all the original seats back in until after the test.

i had the mot tester at one car ask me to start my car to warm it up next thinkg i saw he was using my car to get another car throught the gas test, so yer depends on tester. tho i didnt go back there
