Posse Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 plug things lol that push into the back of the clocks I assume there the same in all mk2 escorts? Forgot to say there for the RS2000 clocks.
Admin Vista Posted February 27, 2013 Admin Report Posted February 27, 2013 What do you need mate? The whole plug (there are two plugs for the clocks and they're the same, but with the wires in different places, for all three types of mk2 clocks) or just the wire connectors?
Posse Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 Well all I have is the clocks and the loom on my car is all new and doesn’t have the two plugs the push into the back of the clocks .
Admin Vista Posted February 27, 2013 Admin Report Posted February 27, 2013 In your van? What dash was there before? You may have to buy a complete loom as if anyone chops the plugs out the loom is effectively scrap (unless they're installing an aftermarket dash)
Posse Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 ffs lol I want to fit RS2000 CLOCKS I have a new loom not ford fitted at the moment. So buy the sounds of it I’m going to have to buy a complete loom just for the plugs? Also all mk2 escort looms the same ie will work these rs2000 clocks?

Yes mate the plugs are the same on all mk2 escort looms, you just need to rearrange the wires to different configurations according to which set of clocks you're connecting to. Take a look in the how to room and there's a guide I put together for connecting it all up. One more thing, your fuel gauge on the RS dash may not be accurate when connected to a van tank as the sender is not the same. I can't say for certain though as whilst I have an RS dash in my van I don't have a standard fuel tank so run a separate fuel gauge instead.
Posse Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 Thanks scott Sounds like I should of stayed with dials I had.
mk2 mike Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I might have one/both of the plugs spare in my garage Darren. I'll have a look in the morning for you.
Tall paul Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I got mine from Darren (escort-tec) he had some scrap looms he cut them off M8
mk2 mike Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Right. Just had a look. I only have the main 8 wire connector, not the smaller 4 wire one. You're more than welcome to have it if its any use to you? If you want it drop me a PM with your address and ill stick it in the post.
