Hi,

I've just swapped over my linkage to a 'proper' webber twin cable type and I am having some issues with the bar which links the linkage to the carbs.

Here are some videos of where the bar is hitting the balance screw (sorry the video has been stretched)

Can anyone advise a way around this please, I'm sure the carbs are not fully open...

take the top knuckle off and wind it down so it moves along the slotted piece of the linkage when you refit that will make the rod sit up straight instead of an angle as you have it then you will have clear access to the balance screw

Hi,

Thank you.

I also tried this, with the 'ball joint knuckle' on the lowest setting. it passes the adjuster but does 'skim' it on it's way up and down.

I assume it's a little early to get the file out?

just slightly bend the balance bracket towards the carb away from the link bar that should then be ok

Sweet. You know your engines so I shall do that later in the week.

Many thanks.
