Who to expect this year ?? Missed a few exhibitors last year at the show.

Just got confirmation Rally Design is not going.

I am waiting Burton for their reply.

Means at least I have extra miles to go for shopping while we get over from Holland on our way to CFS

It's probably not on the website yet because they still won't have 100% confirmed who's attending.

Sure it'll be there by the end of the week.

Just got another confirmation Burton Power is not going also to CFS.

I think your find it’s the price of there pitch that is pushing them away ....

Thats what they told me two years ago, and I can only assume it was the reason of all the empty spaces last year.

We are trading again at Classic ford this year,as we enjoy the hole weekend, but as said its the cost that puts off trade being there.

Just way too much money!

The show’s evolved massively over the last 10 years and is showing no signs of decline – advance tickets and club attendance are both up again this year.

The size of the show and the organiser’s remit to entertain the public with live action - both on and off the strip - means that the event just can't be static and held in a field. To create something special that makes for an enjoyable weekend, you need more and more costs!

For big traders such as Burton and Rally Design, the scale of the show creates a Catch 22. If they attend and don't bring the entire contents of their catalogue, they risk leaving punters who have travelled to buy a specific part disappointed and frustrated on the day. Plus the logistics and staff costs BEFORE the relatively small outlay on the massive stand space required are a big challenge if they do choose to attend. On the other hand, if they don't attend, they risk being bad-mouthed for their perceived lack of support for their customers. They can’t win!

Both of the above companies are very supportive of both the classic Ford scene and the show. Burton Power is showing their support for this year’s event by sponsoring the Classic Ford magazine stand, which I for one am grateful for!

See you at the show!

Common sense says if you want a part and you're travelling from a long way (and I know some people come from overseas) then you'd phone and ask them to bring it to avoid that issue?

Enthusiasts spend tens of thousands with these companies over the year and for them not to turn up at a show like classic ford just isn't good enough in my opinion. I'm not saying they should turn out at every meet or the smaller local shows, but there are a few dates in the calendar that ought to be a must for them, and this is one of them.

Poor show.

I travel from overseas, I called them up..... Responce from Burton was, We don't take parts for customers to shows.... As I remember Rally Design did take parts for me to shows to collect.

Well I have to travel 400 miles + ferry to get to CFS (one way trip) so I guess a few extra miles with my 39 year old V6 Ford wont hurt much in my wallet......
