can anybody help me identify my 2.0 pinto

ive bought a 2.0 pinto and would like to know what its out of and the year. the engine number is 85hm6015bb i need a water pump and cam belt so dont want to get them for the wrong engine.

That looks like the part number you've put up, do you have the engine number as well?

i belive all pinto waterpumps are the same the cossie one is bigger internally but will fit the same the only thing you might find is you can buy waterpumps that have or dont have a viscous fan  as long as you order a 2.0 cam belt it will fit a 1.6 belt is differant

where is the engine number located please

The engine number is on a flattened piece of block under the exhaust manifold and just to the rear of the alternator mounting bracket hard points.

ok think its JR02255 then theres loads of numbers underneath it

JR translates to a build date of the parent vehicle of February 1988. That precludes it having come from a capri, cortina etc.
