Mk1 and mk2 rs2000. 26/5/13 Falkirk STILL MISSING

Can we all keep a look out for these cars stolen on sat 26th am

 

Both were taken on a transporter and had been laid up for many years

 

Mk1 rs2000 Modena green vgc

Mk2 rs2000 Yellow with vinyl roof lots of rust

 

Any info much appreciated

2 Escorts stolen from Maddiston, Falkirk, 25/05/13

 

First is a Modena Green Mk1 RS2000 reg HFV899N was stolen from Maddiston, Falkirk, Scotland on 25th May 2013. The car has been off the road since 1994.
The car was loaded onto a yellow N reg transporter with red writing & an orange beacon light. Four men took part in the theft.

 

Second is a Signal Yellow Mk2 RS2000 reg JSD35W was stolen from Maddiston, Falkirk, Scotland on 25th May 2013. The car has been off the road since 2000.
The car has a black vinyl roof fitted & is group 1 spec. The car has a fair amount of rust. The car was loaded onto a yellow N reg transporter with red writing & an orange beacon light. Four men took part in the theft.

The truck used to steal the Escorts was a yellow  LDV crew cab spec lift with GARAGE SERVICES in red with white shadow on the doors & 24 RECOVERY also in red with white shadow on the bodywork, no phone number or location, NOT a Transit as previously thought.

Are the cars owned by the same bloke ?  How do thieves find out about these cars if they havnt been seen out and about ??

Both owned by the same guy & have been for years.

 

Dunno whether the thieves have used streetview, heard about them through word of mouth or drove past looking for scrap & spotted them & thought we're having them but one of those would be my hunch

looks a lot like this one doesnt it? im not saying it is but ...blue pinto cam cover and belt cover, air filter etc but maybe thats a popular thing with the green? i dont know. saw this at a show this weekiend.

blue cam cover, airbox and cam belt cover is what they came with as standard. Anyone wanting or building a concourse car would be looking to install those features

Looks very simular? Im sure that the owner could identify minor mods that they may have added, i know that my car as i have built it up would stand out a mile? My CR*P welding for one. There are too many things in these 2 pictures that stand out! Maybe im wrong mind!
