Dom Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 And we all know about the people who say that Are they like 50p or somethin?
hotrs2000 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Just to let you know I had the car on the rollers last week but we had to shut it down as it was way to lean at 5000rpm and only pushing out 101bhp, so I went up to Bogg Brothers and they set it up. They redrilled the main jets, reset the mixture and retimed the engine. put it on there rollers and at 5500rpm had 125bhp at the wheels. They didn't take it past 5500rpm as one of my cam lobes was noisy, but they said it should have about another 15-20bhp at the wheels when I go higher up the rev range. So should be about 140-145bhp at the wheels or 155 - 160bhp at the fly wheel which is spot on for my engine spec (Vulcan 160bhp engine) Engine is very smooth and ticks over at 900-1000rpm, plus on the 500 mile round trip to Bogg Brothers I got average 27mpg at speeds of between 65-100mph. i'm very pleased with them, I'm hoping to come to Box hill on the 28th so if I'm there I will have a chat with anyone about them. Kieran
Mr Sam Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 seems a cheap replacement for the traditional twin webbers seen some go real cheap on ebay too
