Well bad news today, welder is playing up so bad decided it was taking longer to sort that out than do any work (as you can probably see recently that everything on my thread has been taking me ages) so took it back and waiting on it to be checked over (maybe repaired) before they decide anything. What a fooking pain. So no welder equals no work on consul so gonna go out an enjoy the escort in this weather. Still absolutely gutted I won't be doing anything on it for a while as want to do at least one show in it this year :-( totally gutted

Thanks jo,

I don't know what's worse, the fact ill probably be waiting weeks just to find out they either can't fix it or to send me another; or the fact that I had a 15min argument with the staff as I gave it back without a gas adapter, wire, gas or a plug which is EXACTLY how i got it an it was when I opened the box. I had to buy everything else seperate so refuse to send it incase it doesn't come back.

She told me because I removed the plug I had tampered with it. Funny how I was the one that bought it separately and put the 16a plug on!!!!!!!

sounds like they sold you a return if all them bits were missing therer not allowed to sell any items nowadays without a 3pin plug and it should have been a sealed plug at that. tell them your reporting them to health and safety

It is a draper 160 bought brand new.

Great little welder for what I need but played up so quickly, less than 7 months :-(

It has a sticker on saying best to use 16amp plug (guess that's how they get round it)

Let's hope this is a one off problem, thanks for the comments guys
