5tox Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 as per title, i am very tempted to buy myself a pair of fibreglass front wings for my mk1 escort rather than pissing about fitting my steel bubble arches to metal wings (+it'll save a bit of weight) my question is this, are these fibreglass wings any good or will they twist and crack? if they are gonna give me problems id rather just stick with the steel ones
capriclive Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 ive fitted fibreglass wings to mk1 escorts and mk1 capris before. never really had any problems. ive heard people say they dont fit right, but ive fitted two sets of mk1 escort ones to different cars and once painted you couldnt notice the difference. strength of them pretty good. never had any crack on me.

5tox Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 it appears fibreglass has come a long way over the years i may just buy myself a set and see how i get on
