Newbie from scotland

Ive just joined up ,I used to be on here back in 2006 when I had my mk1 escort but due to family expanding and house extending most of the non essential things in life were sold

 

My names Ian but most peeps call me Ginge ,im 35 and work as a mechanic although did my time a a panel beater ,im married with 2 kids now

 

I live in Dunoon Argyllshire on the west coast of Scotland but at the moment are planning on moving to south Wales next year.

 

When I was growing up all my cousins were ragging around in mk1 and 2 Escorts,Capris, and Mantas etc .This has always stuck with me and since then I have always had a love of the blue oval, by the time it came time for me to start driving we all had mk1 fiestas (I now deeply regret scrapping 2 Supersports )

 

I am now looking to buy a mk1 fiesta and start reliving my youth,lol

 

I have a budget of between £1500 to £1800 to find a nice solid example with hopefully some go faster bits and am also hoping to add some new midland wheel 7.5 /13 four spokes too

Dunoon eh? I used to head round there for weekends on the beer from my home in Garelochead quite a lot in the late 80's. It's probably a bit quieter now that the US Holy Loch submarine base has gone?

I cant even remember my username back then,lol,Yeah dunoon is a lot quieter since the yanks left,the wee towns dead on its feet,that why we want to leave
