The Transplanter Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I do like a pickup (I have 4 of them ), but this just looks wrong to me! Would have been a much nicer van. But considering it was done years ago I guess it would be classed as "period" now ?!? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ESCORT-MARK-1-ESCORT-PICK-UP-ESCORT-MK1-ONE-CAPRI-V6-ENGINE-/290968373375?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item43bf11087f The Alperton dealer they mention would have been Godfrey Davis back then.
garyv6100e Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Saw that. I quite like it. X2 and its Purple what more can you want
Admin Vista Posted September 15, 2013 Admin Report Posted September 15, 2013 I've seen a few escort pick ups now, usually from vans rather than estates though I think I've seen one of the latter too. They look ok and there was a time back in the 70s and early 80s when Pick ups were the in thing but I prefer the vans myself. Here's are a few more for instance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQevDk97fSI
fieldy1972 Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Each to their own I suppose. Not my cup of tea though. Funnily enough I saw a mustang GT 350........pick-up at Goodwood Revival yesterday. Very odd

The Mustang belongs to a friend of mine, its in the care of Bill Shepherd at the moment as he is trying to sell it for my mate (hence why it was at Goodwood ). Its an original "66 Beverley Hills Mustero" (Mustang/Ranchero) built under licence from Ford http://www.autoblog.com/2011/12/21/ebay-find-of-the-day-1966-ford-mustang-mustero/ This is one of only a few that ever got built apparently! Mick totally restored it with a Trans Am Racing stroker 331 which produced 463hp on the dyno at Shelby works Its up for £60k if your interested? He is open to offers lol
