jamie Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good diff gasket and pinion oil seal for an Anglia 105E? There seem to be a few out there but if anyone can recommend a brand(s) I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
Andrade Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 can't recomend a british shop, but as long as you look for a "ford english axle" you'll find something for sure, it doesn't have to be specific Anglia. Also, I had diffs fitted with just good brand gasket sealer, no gasket itself, and they never leaked. Also a good idea is to put some gasket sealer between the diff flange and prop. Sometimes oil creeps out from the nut which bolts the flange and some sealer there would avoid it going all over the place. (unless it's the halfshaft bearings, early anglias have narrower bearings)
rallyesport04 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 never used a diff gasket just sealant
DICKIE-B Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Hi, just seen some on Ebay, it says that it's 3 times thicker than original (paper) type, and harder to rip/tear, also more oil resistant!! Check-out the link below, he does allsorts of cool stuff, for Fords. I'm gona order the gasket and diff seal kit. All the best, Rich http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Bearingkits-Gearbox-and-Axle-Parts?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
