pccapri Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Ive stripped the interior out of my Capri and resprayed it Matt Black, However the paint isn't very good and is coming in up in a lot of places. Is there a better paint that I can use on the inside, mostly where the carpet should be? Or do I use a higher ratio paint to thinner?
Escort Mk1 4 Door Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 have you flatted it back with a scotch pad or a like?
irishtorag Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 maybe clean floor with panel wipe first.
PaulMags Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 All depends if he used a scotch pad and what colour.red is best for a sraight colour as its equivelent to 320 gritt.and he'd be better of rubbing it down hard with it soaked in panel wipe.I think myself these days there not as good as they used to be they wear out to quick [scotch pads] 1
pccapri Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 My prep probably wasn't the best but I think some of it is wear and tear. Ive heard that theres a special paint thats used in vans and pick ups thats hard wearing?
PaulMags Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 It's only 2 pack paint mainly in commercials. It's prob down to your preping to be honest.I have no carpet in my car and yet still have to go over it now and then due to fiction of my shoes .It was painted in 2 pack paint first but i just go over it with a can now.
