Can anyone possibly give me the jetting information for a standard Mk2 RS2000 with its original 32/36 DGAV? The Haynes manual I have only lists the main jets at 127/137 but no data on anything else.

 

Strangely Australian spec cars have 132/130 main jets presumably to cater for our emission regs but given my car no long has that and uses an RS exhaust manifold I figured the jetting for a Euro spec car would be perfect.

Just thought I should add for those with Australian 2lt Escorts the original jetting for comparison is as follows.

 

All figures are Primary/Secondary

Venturi - 3.5/4.5
Main Jet - 132/130
Air Jet - 175/135
Idle Jet - 55/50
Tubes - F66/F66
Pump Jet goes to both barrels

there are lots of differant standard settings for the 32/36 too many to list for the likes of carpis etc i havent got the mk2 settings but i would guess that there not far from the mk1 rs2000

Thanks so much for that Information. Actually it appears that the Mk2 Euro RS2000 has completely different jetting to the MK1. A kind member of the Turbosport forum emails me and gave me the details although not as comprehensive as yours. They are as follows

 

Mk2 RS2000 DGAV

 

Venturi  -    3.5/4.5

Main Jet -   137/127   (They Haynes manual shows these back the front)

Air Jets -  175/125

Idle jets - 45/60

Tubes - F66/F66

 

So that means that Mk1 RS2000, Mk2 RS2000 and Australian spec RS2000 all have completely different jetting! Im not sure what to choose? Apparently the Australian Spec is the same as that Listed for Swedish Pinto Engines so its more to do with Emission control regulations and probably irrelevant now that in most cases thats been removed and leaded fuel is no longer available. Its interesting that the Mk1 RS2000 has very aggressive jetting but produces noticeably less horsepower than the Mk2. Its Exhaust Manifold must really be a winner over the Mk1s.

more fuel and more air makes a bigger bang as long as you clean air in an get the gasses out it should in theory make better power

 

I have noticed when you by a new Weber they say they offer standard jetting with 140/140 main jet, so Im guessing that the Mk1 RS2000 specs you have given is the best performance option?
