do you need a ticket or a stand pass?

Pay on entry on the day. There will be an OSF display area marked out so just make sure you tell a marshall which club you are with and they will point you in the right direction.

Now that Classic Ford is over just wanted to remind anybody that is thinking of coming along that AVO National Day at Hatton World is less than 2 weeks away.

Hope to see a few of you there.

All the best,

If anyone has a Mk1 or Mk2 escort, estate van or campervan I have a classicvans stand at the show this year as we were trying to get some of these rarer models in one place, more so if its a camper as I rarely see many at the shows please let me know in advance if you wish to attend.

Sadly I may have my own car on the Osf stand as my camper is still  stripped waiting paintwork to be done.

I didn't think anyone had turned up ............ real shame as it was again another good turn out this year.

We managed to get a few vans / campers and even hijacked a couple of estates but when I asked none seemed to be from on here ?

Weather wasn't the best but it stayed dry most of the day.

The guy with the blue estate said the sunstrip was given to him from a mate, but had no idea what it was :D

Thanks to the guys who turned up and the Avo club for letting us attend, hope to do it next year with twice as many vehicles.

savvi your mk2 escort looked mint when I looked around it today, what a shame other oldskool members couldn't be arsed to turn up

To bring clarity to the issue rather than unfounded accusations:

Whilst it had been discussed in the events room by various members, we didn't request a stand and didn't offer to organise one. So how exactly would you expect people to turn up to a stand that no-one, to my knowledge, knew existed?

Thanks Dave I didn't even get chance to clean it from when I went to Classic ford before I went :D

I think last year there were only 3 of us which is a shame, I noticed the whole show wasn't as busy tho, maybe the grey skies put people of or perhaps it being Fathers day didn't help ?

With Forum based clubs it is always difficult to know how many cars will be turning up, but because oldskoolford has been attending AVO days for many years we always allocate a space. If the administrators of oldskoolford would prefer that we didn't allocate a space then fair enough, we certainly didn't intend to upset anybody by doing so.

All the best,

Graham
