Chris standage Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 May be a wasted option but how much weight would be shed if removing most of the interior, e:g rear door cards, rear bench seat, carpet and underlay, headlining, also looking at changing front seats as the fronts are on the heavy side, any other simple ideas on areas to lose some weight.
katana Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 50 - 75lbs at a guess? Poly carb windows - light but they do get scratched to buggery! Carbon / kevlar seats - light but very, very spendy!
mk2 mike Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 GRP panels. As you're getting a re spray anyway might be worth considering wings, doors, bonnet /bootlid etc. Go the whole hog! 1

Chris standage Posted February 22, 2014 Author Report Posted February 22, 2014 carpet out today at work, was a bit water logged so chucked it straight in the skip with all the underlay and sound proofing, surprisingly no noisier than with it in there, strip down commences.
