I will be sending the stand application off next week so whilst we have no more stand passes available, we can still get people cheaper entry tickets. One more week to get them through us folks

Is it to late for 1x ticket & 1 stand pass ? Cheers.

Not too late for a ticket but we don't have any stand passes left at the moment. I suggest buying your ticket from us (you won't find it cheaper elsewhere) and  adding yourself on the reserve list for a stand pass. There's always people who can't make it for one reason or another

Hello, what's the chances of getting a stand pass this late on?

At the moment none, sorry. We've already pushed our stand limit up from 130 to 160 cars and have been told that's all the space that is available.

Add your name to the reserve list that Jo started on the previous page of this thread though and any that do become available will be allocated in the order that names are posted on the reserve list.

Just out of interest why are they limiting the number of cars we can have on the stand, when tbh the old Skool ford stand has the majority of the classic fords that are at the show on it!? Let's face it without the OSF stand it's got to the point where it would be a few classics dotted amongst the plastic crap! Ha ha

I can only guess at the reasons but:

1. To stop it turning into Old Skool Ford Show

2. To give other clubs a chance with their members

3. Last year we asked for 180 passes and only around 130 turned up on the day. A pretty high number of no shows and that's a lot of space they could have put to other uses and a few clubs could have been sited nearer the grandstand.

Again, just my supposition but my money would be on 3 as the main reason.

Your probably right mate. Tbh we probably did them a favour, stopped another 50 Focuses being parked up for us all to have to try and ignore! Ha ha

i total agree with you on that but my club duse not want to be behind the grand stand ,as ultimate ford was at the top of behind the garage at the top of the track and we where happy about that but as my club is all mixed fords fro 1966 to 2009 most been 80 and 90+ half the club cant show there cars there now and all the members take pride in the fords and just to add only 1 focus show car in the whole lot the rest are mk1 tina s mk2 and m3 tinas mk2 capris 4 mk2 granadas ,sierria cozzys and no cozzys ,escort mk1s and mk2 3 4 5 ,67 mustang ,96 mustang fiesta mk1 2 3 and 4 s ford pop 1 mk4 (mine and its a show car not a car park car) and after telling the members what cf have done ive had alot say they can stick it ,if im not showing thay are not going in there show car even tho ive told them i will still put a stand on for them  ,they are not interested , i see what i can do as i dont want them to miss out and after last year at ford fair it made my club look old with 64 cars and yes mixed again old and new ish ,and i will not be doing ff as most of my members said it was sh#t full of volvo tat ,, my rant over

Well it is Classic Ford Show ... cars built in 2009 are not classics so I dunno why those members are upset. You could always do a smaller stand for your classics at Classic Ford Show and a larger stand for the newer cars at Ford Fair

drr it is set as pre 90,s its just putting a divider between clubs when we all love fords and as i said 99% of the cars are not been made now,i agree new cars is not what its about ,and i enjoy classic ford but its all about pushing newer car out but forgetting what people can afford,

Not sure I get your point Shaun. As Jo says the clue is in the name of the show; CLASSIC Ford, so they're right to 'push out newer Fords'. If people get uppity because they can't bring their 2004 focus/KA Or whatever onto the stand then maybe they ought to spare a thought for all those. 'Real' classic ford owners who had to leave their cars in the public car park because the show ground was full of cars that could be seen in any supermarket car park any day of the week. I feel sorry for the people who come from miles and pay to get in only to see everyday cars. It's not what that show is for.

It's an interesting debate this,I'm my local supermarket car park I can't see any 3 door cosworths rs1600is xr3s xr22s xr4s but it might be different in other areas so I can't commet ' maybe when numbers start dropping and attendances there will be a new age related rule.anyways I personally love all fords old and new I have an anglia, and a new ford for work happy days
