GJUK Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Phoned these guys up, no impressed at all. Would advise to go elsewhere.
SmokeEm Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Sounds a bit harsh? Don't forget, everyone has different circumstances? They certainly helped young Jordan out. Did you mention oldskoolford?
GJUK Posted May 13, 2014 Author Report Posted May 13, 2014 I spoke with a lady who had no idea what she was doing, on a par with reading a crib sheet, just reading word by word with no understanding of what was coming from her mouth. No clue on cars at all. Explained the car was heavily modified and that she should assume 'everything' has been changed, which is 99% correct, cage, engine, diff, suspension, shell, seats, gearbox etc etc etc. She wanted a written list before being able to get any quotation, listing every part nut and bolt changed on the car. I was put on hold 3 times during this time and this took about 20 minutes. Was asked on the year, make and model of my daily driver... Loads of questions I've never been asked before when insuring a car. Repeated myself several times on each question, she was concentraing that much on the questions in front of her, did not hear the answers. To top it off I was asked if I had always insured my car when it was owned and in use, I replied sarcasticly "no", she didnt like this and said she would end the call. What kind of a question is this!? Her manager was a bit better but still did not understand the concept of me trying to get a simple quote for new business, owning three classic cars. They also only use 3rd party valuations, which you need to arrange. Explained the car in question has been insured for the past 3 years for 18k agreed valuation, no change. Just their rubbish attitude towards a new customer, forum sponser or not. Part of the company title seems quite apt.
5tox Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 doesnt sound very good at all, hopefully they will read your feedback and act upon it
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 13, 2014 Admin Report Posted May 13, 2014 Hopefully we will get a reply from them to this post. They could not have been more helpful with my son. 1
GJUK Posted May 13, 2014 Author Report Posted May 13, 2014 That's good to hear Jo, maybe I caught this lady on a bad day. She sounded quite stressed but hopeless from my point of view. We all have bad days but it's made my mind up. Adrian Flux have always been more expensive than anyone else for me, now this year they are cheaper than A-Plan by 30% and A-Plan were cheap last year. 1
RH Specialist Insurance Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Hello GJUK, Please could you send me a private message with as much information as possible about the call so that I can investigate this for you? We take feedback like this very seriously and would like to apologise if you are unhappy with the way in which your call was handled. - Scott 1
mk2 mike Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 Have to admit I'm not holding out much hope. Called today for a quote, the girl had trouble finding 'escort, on the system (asked if it would it be called by anything else). Then I had to litterally spell out most of the mods. Now I've been waiting hours for a call back for the price, all the others gave me a price while i waited.

mk2 mike Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 Update on the above. I actually called RH back I discuss the issues and spoke to a very helpful person. So much so I actually ended up taking out this years insurance with them which ended up being cheaper than my current insurers. That said i still haven't received any paperwork through the post yet but I despite my earlier post I suggest you guys try them for a quote when you need renewing! 1
