deffo lightened, i would say, but not radically, some people frown on this these days, but i did these for ron harris years ago, and used to take the two casting voids out completely. to my knowledge none broke ( i am sure he would have told me if they had! ).

cheers, ian.

its not the lightened flywheel thats frowned on it the cast iron ones but as above i've never had a problem with cast one's  thing is the billet steel one are not that expensive apart from they dont come with a ring gear so thats extra but a couple of place's i use do sell billet one with the ring gear machined into the flywheel

yes that's what I meant, but should have made clearer, steel flywheels are fine, but like wayne says some people frown on lightening cast ones, whether that's bourne out of safety concerns, or just that they sell steel ones is anyones guess. although I have never seen the results of a burst flywheel 1st hand, I have heard that it can do a tremendous amount of damage to the car and driver. I am not sure 100 % but I think I read that big daddy don garlits lost a foot in this manner but I may be confused with someone else here!

have a good day at cfs if your going, sadly I can't make it this year, ian.
