SmokeEm Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Learnt that particular lesson when I was 14yrs old whilst welding a patch under the rear arch on my older Sisters Moggy Minor. Luckily only the rear interior card and seat base were burnt but she wasn't happy!!

fieldy1972 Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Yep. Been through that as well. My best mate (and still is) Gus, was welding the rear inner arch on my mk2 1600 sport many years ago. I came back from work and said " how's it going?" To which Gus's dad said. "It was going quite well until we put it out" and then showed me the smouldering remains of my back seat. Oh how I laughed .............
