Learnt that particular lesson when I was 14yrs old whilst welding a patch under the rear arch on my older Sisters Moggy Minor. Luckily only the rear interior card and seat base were burnt but she wasn't happy!! :lol:

Yep. Been through that as well. My best mate (and still is) Gus, was welding the rear inner arch on my mk2 1600 sport many years ago. I came back from work and said " how's it going?" To which Gus's dad said. "It was going quite well until we put it out" and then showed me the smouldering remains of my back seat. Oh how I laughed .............

i really not sure what happened........lol. spent like a week on welding,then small patch on rear arch..........and up it went! danny said you may have contact for rear glass?

well you gotta think of it like this, probobally would have got to tank in another couple minuits and me stood there poking hose into car taking turns to turn away,breathe well im chufft cos i got almost 2k into this and i stopped it just in time and not blown to bits in prosess! i could look at it all day and moan or say f@@@kit this just set me back a bitta time and a little more money! bit of bummer cos brand new pattern rear indicators gone along with some of the interior pannels i put in boot for saftey,gotta larf!
