chelsea kev Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 Hi guys and dolls, of the 3 company's I've seen as sponsors on the site who has given the best deals on your modified o/s/f ? Regards Kev
mk2 mike Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 Last year A-Plan were the cheapest but this year RH were a bit cheaper, and also offer the salvage rights free. Never seen that from insurers before! 1
chelsea kev Posted June 20, 2014 Author Report Posted June 20, 2014 Cheers Mike I took my 1st policy out 2 years ago without shopping around great price with agreed valuation all mods declared was well pleased just had a reminder it's due for renewal next month and it's more than doubled, will compare this time for sure.

Veemax Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 I always end up back at Carole nash, less than £100, fully comp, full breakdown, agreed valuation, unlimited mileage etc etc I even used the breakdown once when clutch slave cyl failed, they sent AA out an was home in an hour, an the AA man (a very nice man) was very sympathetic an concienciuos with the car Pete.... 1

Im with A-Plan was cheapest by far last year same price this year just paid it with out calling around as wasnt in the UK. just in the process of upping agreed value so waiting to see if they accept my huge increase i asked for Whats "offer the salvage rights free." 1
mk2 mike Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 If you write off your car they'll pay you out AND give you what's left off the car back for free so you can repair it or re-use/sell any un damaged parts. Every other company I've ever seen only sell you back the car
skeeter Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 I am also with A plan with an agreed value and the price was cheap enough not to bother shopping around. And the service on the telephone was great too. I have never had to claim so can't comment on them in that regard and long may that continue. S 1

chelsea kev Posted June 27, 2014 Author Report Posted June 27, 2014 Cheers for your replays and input
chelsea kev Posted June 28, 2014 Author Report Posted June 28, 2014 Well had some satisfaction today when my insurance company phoned saying I only had a couple of days left on my policy and I had not responded to there renewal letter, After telling them I thought they was stronging it with a 100% increase in two years and that my Ford family were getting better quotes from other company's who sponsor our group they gave in and reduced it by 50% with all the same cover I'd had before,
mk2 mike Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Good result. Just shows if they can afford to slash it by half just how much they're trying to rip you off for in the first place!
