Right guys, see the email below received from the Police in Surrey today. I suggest you guys that want to disturb the locals do it outside your own homes not theirs. We will gladly pass on details of any offenders as we don't want the police at our own doors thank you very much.

Dear Admin,

I understand you have a meeting every third Wednesday at The Jolly Farmer public house on Byers Lane, Godstone, Surrey. We have had several complaints recently about the noise and driving from the cars that are meeting there. On driving up the road yesterday, skid marks and doughnut marks could be seen

Please could you express to your members that this driving is not acceptable and the police will be monitoring the area and dealing with any offences

Please could you acknowledge my email

Regards

Vicky Seymour

First the Essex meet last year and now this. It boils my pi@@ that a few morons are ruining the OSF name. As I've said before landlords all know each other and it won't be long before no pubs will accept a regular meet for fear of having their licence revoked.

IMHO this is what happens when you have an open invite for 'anyone' to attend, it's like advertising a house party on social media, word of mouth spreads and undesirables turn up who have nothing to do with the original invite. It was the same at the Essex meet where 'non regulars' (for want of a better description) arrived, caused chaos and were never seen again leaving the regulars on the verge of having their meet cancelled.

It'll be interesting to see how the OSF anniversary bash on Sunday turns out as I believe attendance is being regulated to just OSF? My money is on it being MUCH more respectful.

There are people that are nothing to do with OSF on loads of sites i visit, touting the Jolly meets EVERY month. Encouraging all n sundry to turn up with their Fords 'Of ANY kind' Not sure how it can be stopped but if it carries on, I can see the OSF meet 'tag' getting removed.

Come to think of it the same thing happened at the Ace when all the plastics were doing donuts on the public road with regular traffic passing by and the police got pelted with stones. That was allegedly under the 'OSF' name even though the meet wasn't sanctioned by you guys. Not good for the forum at all. :( I feel sorry for the guys that take the time to organise these events for everyone. John at the jolly farmers and Paul at the Eagle don't deserve the grief. (Nor does the forum).

That was the ACE cafe themselves that kept publicising it as an OSF meet despite zero involvement from us. When it all went tits up, guess who they pointed the finger at?
