Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted July 13, 2014 Moderator Report Posted July 13, 2014 Anyone know where I can source a set of rear brake shoe springs for Mk1 Escort Mexico/Twincam/RS1600? Put in new cylinders and shoes and got the drums skimmed put it all together and everything works fine on one side but on the other the springs have corroded or bonded or something and you cant even turn the adjuster they are so tight. I always thought springs when slack and loose in time but these are the opposite. They barely expand at all. Of course they seem to be different to most other Escort Shoe Springs. Isnt it always the way? Anyone that can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

He seems to be the only one that sells them so the price is the price and ordered them. They have been on the car for 44 years so probably cant complain too much. I shouldnt ever have to replace them ever again. I will be too old to care.
