Hi all,

 

I am new to the site and thought this would be the best place to get advice / help. 

 

I have a sierra sapphire cosworth and a mk1 escort 1300GT rolling shell. i originally bought the sierra as a doner car for the escort but love the sierra to much to strip now and is in a pretty good original condition.

 

So now i am in two minds as to what to put in the escort.......would still love to cosworth it but dont think the bank balance will allow it. Im sick of waiting and want the escort on the road now so think im going to crossflow it but hope i am not dissapointed in lack of power. love to hear what people think........

The cross flow can produce good numbers and make for a fun and lively mk1 Escort. You can also get good results from cheaper modern alternatives such as the zetec but ultimately it's down to personal preference. Whatever you decide, welcome to OSF

Welcome to OSF. For reliable, reasonably cheap power you could go for an XE.

Welcome mate. Depends on what your budget is tbh. Lots of options. Xflows and pintos are NOT cheap!

Thanks for the welcome guys....I think I'm going to stick a 1600 xflow in for now to get it on the road and I'm told that will still put a big smile on my face. Do many guys sell bits on here?

Yeah bits come up quite often. There's also a wanted section if you're looking for specific parts. Good luck
