Engine Number

Please can someone tell me where to find the engine number that is shown on the V5 on the actual engine?

I 'think' it's Below the exhaust manifold near the front of the engine on the flat machined face. About two inches long by 1/2 inch high iirc. I tried googling for a pic to help you but can only find casting number pictures.

 

Of course, I could be wrong! Im sure someone who knows will be along soon mate.
