Morning on this fresh Sunday,
Im stuck in work :(

Just after some LSD Advice

Currently got a 2L pinto

255 60 13 Tyres (off the top of my head i think)
Engine was built beforei bought it running a kent fr32 cam an was built to pull in all gears, not really quick of the mark as such info here:

as ive read it depends on set up whats best

My advice: Yes, get one :-) only ever had plate type myself so can't really comment on which is best.

255/60/13? They're very wide tyres on a mk1, what width wheels are you running and is it an arched car?

yeah done abit of reading all its good news when it comes to getting a LSD :P

hmm could be wrong with the tyres sizes to be honest, cant remember cars stuck in the garage on axel stands at the moment.

I've got 5.5Kx13 alloys rs style, think they are capri ones. unarched just mexico arches so I guess im wrong with the tyres ...

Id have to check later.

Could be 255/55/13 hmm cant remember only guessing lol

Cheers

You running similar set up to me?

The fella who build my engine said its built to pull all the way through the gears

and not rev like mad, so id be best with a atb quaife would be best with 3.54 diff....

but looking into them they are looked upon as not a true lsd,

I do want my engine rebuilt so could make it different, I may just get mine checked over and refreshed, ill do some looking into the 3j option also :)

Just researched this and ordered 3j nxg set at 50/90 ramp and 25/30 lbs

Someone on Turbo Sport said the same thing, this is a good set up on this zetec anglia,

Think ill talk with arrow engineering over it

Thanks :)

We had this discussion on the Retards Club page last week, I'm not going into it again as it was painful but the long and short of it is 3j nxg is the preferred option if set up correctly and atbs only good for big bhp and flat road surfaces.

Okay cool yeah

Ive read some threads using search on a few forums, and all options differ, 3J comes up the most even on Retards Club posts i have made, So i think ill go with that in the end.

Cheers
