westmoorsmotorcompany Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 Hi Many years ago, a cheap alternative to an english lsd was to fit the axle from an alfa romeo, which apparently was the same width and nose length as english. I have one I want to fit but dont know what prop to use and what brake set up to use, as its disc brake set up. any help out there ? its to fit a mk2 escort estate with a 1650 crossflow and 1600gtgearbox
Admin Vista Posted January 1, 2015 Admin Report Posted January 1, 2015 I would guess you'll need a custom prop for it
PaulMags Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 Bar props in Swansea s.wales will build one to your speck.
The Transplanter Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 Would be easier and cheaper to fit a trans-x in your current axle! As well as welding on all the necessary brackets, you will have to have a prop made, and the PCD & will be 4x98 The Alfa LSD probably has enough value to buy a big chunk of the Trans-x or similar
