mk1 escort 6 dial dash top

hi guys

 

im in need of the black vinyl 6 dial dash top, needs to be in good original condition and not torn etc, as for concourse car, and for RHD car of course

 

i know these dont come along too often, but if anyone has anything im prepared to give a good price for the right thing

 

i have a repaired one that i can exchange if needed, just im too fussy to fit the repaired one

 

must be a genuine ford one, not a micky mouse grp thing

im real fussy, look at one of the 1300E escorts im doing in the resto section, its the blue one

 

the dash top is out of this blue car, i put the one from my purple car in this one

 

the dashtop was perfect when removed, then while still very nieve at the time, i did a deal with classic trim and part of it was to recover the dashtop, i didnt realise that all he was going to do was glue vinyl on the top and ruin it

 

i probably didnt even get my dash top back, when i removed his shoddy vinyl, there was this dash top with a split on the left of the clock surround and couple on the top edge

 

i have had it repaired, but the guy that repaired it said if it splits there again then he cant repair it there again, the vinyl is now not as soft as it should be, witch i put down the the glue he used, if im honest, its ideal for flocking or one of those nice leather covers on e-bay, it will go in a car as is no prob, but if it does split, then its hastle to change and or find another or cover it

 

my cars are going to be concourse, in fact probably the best original 1300Es you will find, so i dont want a covered dash top at all

Thank you Ray look forward to the pics. Bit confused tho as it looks good in the resto pics if that's the right one? Don't mind if it needs flocking just want a straight original one as the GRP reps aren't supposed to be that good.

the one in the resto pic is the one that replaced this one, i was just showing it for reference, below is the pic of the repaired one, you can just see where the split was, in case of any mis understanding, i dont want to part with this intil i have a perfect one to replace it, as the dash top i need is not for the blue car its for my other purple car in the profile pic, but i am prepared to do a trade in for a perfect one
