S c o o b y Posted February 13, 2015 Author Report Posted February 13, 2015 Terracotta was one of the last new colours released on the MKII Escort it was also available on the RS2000. As with all reds it fades but S C O O B Y's looks like it will polish up well. I had a MKI Fiesta 1100L in that colour in 1996. To be honest now I've got it in the flesh I do like the colour so I've decided to put the wheels on and strips which I now have plus a good polish and clean then see what she looks like , then I can put the 1k plus I save on the respray in to the car 1
skeeter Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 A light 'mop' over the car should bring it up a treat, it will look great after that. S 1
S c o o b y Posted February 22, 2015 Author Report Posted February 22, 2015 I just saw your pictures on the other thread you started the interior looks good, chocolate houndstooth. Yeah the sun always gets the material, I cover the back seat with a sheet when out in sunlight, it's also well worth getting a sun shade for the front screen it'll protect the seats and stop the dash top cracking. Thanks for that I've just ordered a chocolate houndstooth throw to put over the back seat well I've just got it actually and its a perfect match thanks again didn't no that was the colour . 1

No problem, 'chocolate houndstooth' is the offical name Ford gave it as listed in brochures at the time, there were other shades of houndstooth also available. The sun destroys the top of the back seat mainly due to the way the rear window is raked. 1
RIKB80 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Got a couple more pics of that 2nd mark 2 on your earlier post. Met the guy who owned it at the time back in 2009, he'd just had it painted (orange obviously) and put it back together and the show in York where I met him was the 1st he'd been to in it since completion....Carl I think his name was, lived out Hull way? Seen it on Ebay a time or 2 since then so guess it's changed hands a couple of times in last 5 or 6 years. Looked Really well in the metal. Said he was going to paint it Focus ST orange but got a price for paint and it was a fortune at the time. 1
