Using "quote" when replying

I don't seem to be able to "quote" anybody when replying to a post. Pushing the "quote" button simply drops me into an empty dialogue box for a reply at the bottom of the thread.

I am using my laptop, win 7 and IE 11, so not sure if it is a setting I have or an issue, although plenty of other people seem to be able to "quote", so I suspect the issue may be my end.

 

Any thoughts?

I use the 'mobile skin' as I find it easier

I find that quote doesn't work if I use the full skin on my phone, but does if I use the mobile skin. It works fine when using my Ipad or laptop (though I don't use IE on the laptop).

 

Sorry, I know that doesn't help but try experimenting by using a different browser.

Aha - just tried Chrome which seems to work fine, must be an IE feature.

Yep, Chrome works fine for me too. God knows what it is about IE that screws it up. I've always hated IE, tries to be too clever
