I know of a very clean 2 door MK1 that will "probably" be for sale. Downside is it's a LHD & only a 1100. It's spent most of it's life somewhere hot & is very solid. So solid, that it's never been undersealed, giving a potential buyer the chance for a proper look over it. It's red but originally white. I'm sure £7000 would buy it, giving you another £7000 to turn it into the car you want. With such a narrow car, believe me, LHD doesnt really make a lot of difference to drive but different to look at

Yeah the irish knew when to buy and now know when to sell ,a lot selling up scotland aswell think i see a price crash coming ive seen it before twice in my old knackered life! They carnt keep rising for ever or we should all take out remorgages and buy um for a sure investment just thinking out loud lol

I hope so but they said the same with bricks n mortar i remember the price of cars in the 80's then in the early 90's the bottom fell out and cars worth 100k e types etc in the 80's were bargain basement in the 90's and as we know they all sky high now ,like you say the real cream and genuine models will hold there money i hope !
