Mk1 escort under dash parcel shelf orientation

Please can somebody put up a couple of pics as to how the front drivers under dash tray is fixed in place, I think I have fixings but not sure we're they go

I recently test fitted my parcel shelf and found there was nowhere to fix it to and I had to weld a tab to the column.my car never had a shelf there since I bought it,and I recently saw a 1967/68 press publicity photo of the interior which didn't have a parcel shelf on the drivers side either.i didn't think too much of it but now you have a similar problem I am wondering if the very early models didn't have one.which begs the question is your car an (early) 1968 model?

Actually mines a very late mk1 1974 but only a base so I wonder if the cheapo models only had one the passenger side????

Mine's a '74 1100 and had a drivers side shelf too. It was falling apart though so I made a new one to a different design.

Mine is a '68 with nowhere to mount a drivers shelf
