2512pf Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 A mate of mine has just purchased a car with an LSD fitted its only done 700 or so miles and it makes a terrible winning noise between 50 to 60 mph it has plenty of oil in the axle as I checked it for him.the question is ,will it need replacing or is there a magic trick one of you boys know about as it doesn't do it all the time?
jamie956 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I have a brand new gripper and that is sometimes a little winnie I wouldn't say loud and only when off power, what oil are you using.

I had 3j NXG lsd fitted, any posted up numerous places with videos, some say it was bad and wrong others said it was okay. It still is noisy as hell now more on one side than the other. Its been on and drives well, and even on track drives well. Ive just come to conclusion its just noisey (clunks,bangs etc) and nothings broke so far lol but its not noisey at speed like that .. so someone else maybe able to help 1
