bigglesmk2 Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 I struggle to see the downside in any of this 1
cozmcrae Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 This doesn't seam legit. Guys either a complete loonie or he has an ulterior motive
mk1del Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 Yes I've had that one before, had a 1600e for sale few years ago, guy came with missus ,took him out in it, he loved it ,put some fuel in it, got back said money was in car ,went to car started arguing with missus ,after about five minutes arguing just drove off, what More can I say, When sell car nowadays always put on listing, make sure you have permission from missus before you waste my time,,
Danish Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 or his wife said he couldn't have it... Seems likely...
PeteRS8084 Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 When I have sold a car or motorbike through flea bay, after getting burnt a few times I now put a full list of do's and don'ts. It NORMALLY sorts the chaff from the wheat, and I always state a deposit will be required with in 24 hrs or it goes to the second placed bidder. The majority have paid the deposit straight away, and then collection within 5 days with cash or bank transfer. As with everything I think it's luck of the devil really, and there are just so many wasters on flea bay, and as for some of the excuses why they want to bid retract, of not purchase are priceless and could probably start a whole new thread So good luck to any one that gets the deposit and the purchaser does not follow through with the sale, as it says "money for old rope"! 1
browneskids Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 Whatever your experiences guys, it wouldnt hurt if you can leave the car at a different address from the one that it was viewed at, at least until it's sold. You never know... 1
