Admin Vista Posted November 3, 2015 Admin Report Posted November 3, 2015 As our resident VW expert, please can you comment on the likelihood of this seller seeing £105,000 (yep that's a 105 grand) for a 1952 VW Split Screen Panel Van? As to 3 men 5 days a week for 2 1/2 years, working 8 hours a day and assuming 4 weeks off per year for each man, that's 14,400 hours. Divide 125,000 by 14,400 and you arrive at an hourly rate of £8.68 per man or £26 (approx) per hour. A pretty competitive rate if you can find it. And 14,400 hours? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201459654182 1
The Transplanter Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 It hasnt even got windows & a cooker To be honest I dont know that much about the aircooled stuff. It may be a rare production run as there are some odd combo's out there that command big money, BUT I have never seen a barn door anywhere close to that price! Look like chancers to me
The Transplanter Posted November 3, 2015 Report Posted November 3, 2015 Just had a nosey of VZI (largest UK aircooled forum) and there is a discussion going on about it. I will keep you informed of their verdict on it, but £75k's worth has been thrown into the ring!
Admin Vista Posted November 4, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted November 4, 2015 It looks very clean and nicely done, but even if I were a VW enthusiast, I couldn't pay £75k for it 1
Confused Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 And they couldn't even fix the rear suspension even after throwing that amount of money at it!?
