I won't be welding mine as I would like to have a normal one too, you know... welded diffs are usually a phase haha

Welded diffs !! .......how to break shafts and destroy the handling of a car unless your on loose all the time.

I ran a welded 4.4 in my old MK1 and snapped 3 shafts and blew the diff out the back of the axle. This was on slicks at Santa Pod but also driving it on the road was ok in the dry but lethal in the wet. As Colr6 said ok on the loose but not much good on the road!

Don't worry Col... only going to have skinny wheels on it for messing around at auto test

 

I had a welded diff on an E30 on the road and it was crazy annoying all the time!!
