stereo info needed please

Anyone any good with car stereos

I have a pair if Vibe 6x9"s and a head unit to fit....do i need an amp for the speakers to work properly

 

Also , anyone any good at fitting said items.......i"ll pay cash , just not to some rip-off Halfrauds type place

It depends what wattage the 6x9's are mate!!!

 

Also what wattage is the stereo putting out per channel???

 

But normally, you can run the 6x9's without an amp, but they wont sound as good. I am pretty good at fitting that stuff

useing an amp is the only way to achive good sound!

If you dont use an amp then you will no better off if you fitted some 80's goodmans quadraphonc speaker box's

If you dont want to go stupid get a good quality amp (it does make a diffrence) like a fusion http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fusion-FE-402-Enc ... dZViewItem something like that would be spot on they are a very good amp for very little money.

then a wiring kit (power lead normally 5 meters, earth lead normally 1 meter, remote lead for turning your amp on/off and your rca lead for sending your singnal to the amp) then you need your speaker wire then your good to go

if you want a brief eplanation on wireing let me know and I will talk you through if nessacery, but it is realy quit simple.
