Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong place, i'm new to all this. Are there any good auto electricians in the Bromley/Kent area to take a look at a mk1 escort with a cossy engine?

whats the problem you have?

Electrics is an area that confuses the hell out of me so im pretty much clueless. Its finniky on start and sometimes doesnt want to go at all, give the fuse box a little jiggle and it comes back to life. Feel like somethings on its way out. Could be completely fine but would just like a spark to look at it and maybe even renew it.

ok was just trying to see if it was a general electrical problem or a running issue/cosworth specific problem, sounds like you just need a normal auto electrician if its a power issue.

Thanks for replying. Yeah, adding to it, if main beam is switched on the engine cuts out. another to add to the list haha.

Could be an internally corroded fuse box which is not uncommon for its age. Nasty green stuff between the spade connectors and their rivets causing al sorts of electrical gremlins.
