i was driving home in my escort yesterday, i knew my petrol was low but didnt realise it was about to run out....... i did.... i stuck it in neatral and luckily i was doing 75 when it ran out so i mannaged to roll to a layby about half a mile ahead. i knew tht 3 miles back there is a station but i didnt have a fuelcan. so i started walking to this house i noticed up the hill to see if i could borrow a fuel can. the old man said he had alot of people in my situation knockin on his door and never comeing back but he said i look honest and he kindly lent me a fuel can so i could walk to the station. as i was just walking back past my car with the can on my way to the station a lady in a sierra stoped and asked if i wanted a lift to the station so i accepted and she toook me to get petrol then she took me back to my car. i sed thanks to her and off she went. i now had to return the can to the old man on the hill so i drove up to his house and returned the can to him and also gave him a big packet of wine gums to say thankyou for helping me out. and then he asked me if i am religious and i go to church?????? :? i sed not rele and he gave me this dvd of "finding faith in christ" and said its very interesting and i should watch it and maybe one day make a visit to his favorite church in st albans which he has been going to for 48 years! i sed i will go one day. again i sed thankyou and he waved us off up the road.

i thought it was amazing tht two people helped a complete stranger !!!!!

there are some real nice people in this world and by the look of the doris tht drove me to the station you wouldnt even think she is the kind of person to help you out..

ive learnt never to judge a book by its cover...... or run out of fule without a spare can.

thanks steve

when my car broke down in derby (middle lane of 3, football traffic) i had to push the bleeding thing myself out of the way. once i got my breath back a lad pulled up to have a look at the car (cos he has a mk2 i think) and he and some bloke gave me a push to a carpark, then the lad stayed with me and his mates showed up and waited while i was waiting for a tow truck (it took about 3 hours to arrive). was proper chuffed about that. i like to help people when i can :D
