DT36 Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 Currently in my garage tinkering and about to time up new cam belt after refitting cylinder head. For the life of me, I can't find the spring and the 2 posts/studs that go with the tensioner. I'm sure I bagged them up and didn't send them off with the head during its rework. Anyone got an old head lying about with these bits on and want to sell?
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted March 11, 2017 Moderator Report Posted March 11, 2017 You used to get everything in the kit at one point but now it seems you only get the belt and pulley. I had a look but cant seem to find any here but someone should still offer them they arent rare by any means. I remember getting mine off Ebay Ireland. 1

I bought a new pulley, but like you say the rest didn't come with it. I've hunted through every drawer in my toolboxes and just can't find the spring and post.

Danish Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 AFAIK, only the early engines had a spring. Both my Pintos are 205s from Sierras, and I'm fairly sure they didn't have one. 1
DT36 Posted March 14, 2017 Author Report Posted March 14, 2017 Spoke with Steve at Vulcan yesterday (very helpful) and he stated that I don't need to fit it. However, he's still sending me one out if I want to use one. Hi Danish, this is also an injection head from a 205 block, so makes sense what you're saying.
