Wanted gearbox for Mk2 Cortina(hydraulic)

Hi, Converting my sons Mk2 Cortina from auto to maual and require a gearbox for hydraulic clutch.

I have a Mk3  Cortina cable clutch box which the input shaft is too long for the hydraulic bell housing.

Please let me know what you have.

Can you not use the internal slave cylinder conversion like on the type 9 box ?

I have a 1600e gearbox but im in devon so abit to far i think for u.

Hi Col, No the input shaft is longer and don't have the cable OHC bellhousing.

It would have to be pickup only as i work 6 days a week but it was free.

You could swap the input shaft - if you get me a picture of the inside of your box I maybe able to do you a swap depending on what input shaft you have. You'll be able to keep your gearbox then and not have to travel in your search!
