colr6 Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 Got a bit bored today so went and picked the Anglebox up from the farm and thought I better give it a look over. Changed the big Capri fuel tank in the boot for a 4 gal alloy one. Decided to give it a service and engine check before I go and thrash the knackers off it round a track in a couple of weeks. So off with the carbs and will strip to stick in the ultrasonic cleaner. Thought while its in bits go through the cam timing as its not been checked since it was built 5 years ago. Also going to take the air filters off and go back to bell mouths now it's only for track use, along with the s/c quaife box not to bothered about the noise now. Earplugs and a crash hat should sort that. Might even convert to throttle bodies if a set up comes along cheap. New prop to fit as it had a vibration at about 90 mph had the original prop sent back and rebalanced but didn't get rid of it. Changed tyres, wheels and a halfshaft drive flange but the bloody things still there. So hope this new prop cures it. 1
guido Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 little video recording would be nice, once running
DT36 Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 And I thought I'd done well earlier by putting some oil additive in my diff and removing my crankcase PCV... ☺️ That's a nice setup though and I bet it goes a tad. Should be singing on open bellmouths.
