Danxr2 Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Is there any car events that go to the Europe it would be interesting to do one make a holiday out of it 1
mk2 ben Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 I'd love to organise a Euro trip a mate has a place out in Hungary with a massive garden for parking /camping
nosher 64 Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 Classic 6 hour endurance at Spa September. Awesome weekend, cheap as chips and your ticket gains entry to anywhere in the circuit all weekend.. Classic cars park for free..
OSF Contributor Mexican Gerbil Posted June 30, 2017 OSF Contributor Report Posted June 30, 2017 Sounds interesting. Classic ford mag do a trip every year? Would many people be interested in a trip abroad ?
OSF Contributor Mexican Gerbil Posted June 30, 2017 OSF Contributor Report Posted June 30, 2017 Problem is when I looked into it, the major breakdown companies wouldn't cover the car if it was a certain age and modified.... This meant I'd need pretty much spare everything. I had planned to drive 3000 miles across Europe in my last car. Some of you might have seen the thread on a different forum. We had 2 cars fail to return home on Tour of the Moor. You'd be brave to venture to far into Europe without back up. 1
khanlad Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 A few of us are doing classic le mans 2018 in our escorts looking forward to that.

nosher 64 Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 Always interested in a trip abroad.. We are taking the Capri to Spa this year. And took the Cortina to Holland a couple of years ago.. Our breakdown cover is with Britannia and the offer European cover with no problems.

2512pf Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 Good old AA I have a motorhome which is 8 meters long ,I have a motorhome break down cover with the AA on my insurance policy, But according to the AA patrol men they don't have a lorry long enough to put it on,so hopefully I won't need them. My insurance company say they have and gave it me in writing, but patrol man who I have worked round his house assures me they have not Go figure !!!!!
