aardvark101 Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 We could have a dry run to the Isle of Wight first
Leo Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 I did a banger rally some years ago. It was in September, so cheap camping . We did France,Germany Italy, and then Germanŷ again on the way back. It was cheap , and a good laugh. We stayed near towns or cities mainly, and ventured out in the evenings. I'd deffo do it again, ( in an old Ford) Driving over and under the alps was epic.
khanlad Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 Best dig the passport out then! When we off? 1
khanlad Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 If you did colongne its only a short run down to the ring if people fancied that? Lets be honest we dont drive these things for there practical, economical and general user freindliness?

OSF Contributor Mexican Gerbil Posted July 3, 2017 OSF Contributor Report Posted July 3, 2017 Sooooo.... what if nothing was planned. Just take a week off work ( 2 weekends ). Rock up to a ferry port and womble around Europe ?
khanlad Posted July 3, 2017 Report Posted July 3, 2017 It depends what people want from it? So far cologne, beer and ring have been mentioned. How far do people want to travel? How long would they want to go for? I think mid week would be cheaper ferry wise, or tunnel? Plus there would be less traffic mid week? 1
OSF Contributor Mexican Gerbil Posted July 3, 2017 OSF Contributor Report Posted July 3, 2017 It's going to take me a day to get to Dover unless we go from Southampton or Plymouth.
JP. Posted July 3, 2017 Report Posted July 3, 2017 Classic 6 hour endurance at Spa September. Awesome weekend, cheap as chips and your ticket gains entry to anywhere in the circuit all weekend.. Classic cars park for free.. Otherwise 11-13 august theres a big Ford Camping meeting at Zonhoven Belgium ( near Maastricht Holland ) Dutch Crew will be there for three days. If you run into trouble in Holland we can collect the car by trailer in the evening hours and sort it out. ( still have a daily job that pays my bills besides my company Caprimasters Parts & Services ) and we have friends to with workshops so one way or the other you don't have to panic. 4

Leo Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 Sooooo.... what if nothing was planned. Just take a week off work ( 2 weekends ). Rock up to a ferry port and womble around Europe ? We'd all just have a chat for a few hours about where to go, disagree and then drive off in different directions.
aardvark101 Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 So a stop over in Amsterdam to pick up "spare parts" then on to sunny ? Belgium 2018 Tour de Belgium then ?
