On Sunday myself and a mate went down to Shoeburyness to do a bit of decorating on his brothers new house. On our journey down there, something caught my eye.

 

That something was a bright yellow Mk2 Escort RS 2000 Custom. It was parked up in a showroom, so we did a U'eee to have a look. I thought I had been beamed back to the 1980's, there were lots of classic & Old Skool Ford's for sale.

 

In the showroom there were 2 Mk3 Capri's, 2 Mk2 Escorts, 1 Mk2 Fizz-pop XR2, 1 Mk3 Escort RS1600i, 1 Mk3 Escort S1 RS Turbo, 2 Mk4 Escort S2 RS Turbo's & a Sierra RS Cosworth.

Very nice, loving the Red RS2000

They all look very nice, but as it was Sunday, they were closed. I thought that there would be some low mileage cars there that have just had a freshen up, but they are nearly all high mileage. Some of them have history, and the Yellow RS2000 has had a blow-over.

 

I say blow-over, because it doesn't look like alot of parts were removed because there was overspray here and there. That particular car was up for £7000 I think.

 

The Red Mk4 S2 Turbo is from eBay because it is on an S reg. I remember seeing it on there some time ago. The reason it is S registered is because it was imported into the U.K back in 1998 if I remember correctly.

 

Still, it isn't everyday you see a showroom dedicated to selling classics / modern classics. I have to say, I did really like the little XR2, but I do have a soft spot for those anyway

i know this place its near me i went in there the other day and it is a great showroom i love the brooklands capris in there and the yellow rs 2000 they are all spot on
