WARNING Dodgey Petrol

Just heard on radio theres bad supermarket petrol going about in the south east mainly at tesco and morrisons, it will damage you car beware!

THis is alwyas banding about. Mate of mine works at a garage and pulled a load of water out of the tank of a car that filled up at tesco near me.

When i worked for tesco selling fuel we had a turnover of around 8000 litres of petrol a day (a bit more on diesel) and the underground tank sensors detected water in them on more than a few occasions! i think its only really an issue when the garages run the tanks empty

I dont think its water in it, the radio just said its a bad batch being delivered about and the supermarkets are having trouble having to repair the damaged cars

I used to use Safeway (back in the day) ended up with a tank contaminated with water. Swore never to use them again. Only use Shell or Texaco because they are the cleanest fuels around. I used to work for Shell and every tank has water in it. They can't get around it. They do however have to have them drained when the reading gets too high (this is only a few mil though). Readings are taken several times a day. Most sites are also kept an eye on by the fuel company.

don't bother with the lrp, it goes ok on unleaded
