I should know after all the escorts I’ve had 

is it a type 063 I need 

running standard 1600xflow and standard alternator in a mk2 escort

Without searching to see if I've still got any battery books, from memory that's only a small output battery. Would suffice, but personally I would opt for a bigger one think 075 has a lot more cold start amps which would be more benificial for longer start up after car standing for a while. Plus it should be round about 60/70 amp hour battery as against 40 amp hour
