drilling spot welds out of wing rails

i want to drill my spot welds out of my wing rails .. get my front end looking clean and get to that last bit of rust. for the other side and front panel i was lucky enough to get my brother to do it, now he told me to fook myself .. so i need some help, how do i drill them? what sort fo drill? i tried 2 and drilled straight through both

need pointers as this is starting to fook me off .. hands are cut to ribbons and i dont want to fook her up more than she already is

there is a special drill bit you can buy, sort of 2 drills in one with inner and outer points - dam difficult to describe. Get down to a car paintshop or or a decent car spares place.

spot weld remover drill bit or use a normal drill bit but dont drill all the way through! then use a hammer and chisel to split the weld

What you need is a spot weld drill bit.

Frost do them ,if you do a search for "spot weld drill" but I bought mine from my local tool merchants who were almost half the price and they work brilliantly.

when using a spot weld bit, use it very slowly cos they don't cut at high rpm and when its slower you've got more control

have a look on ebay for some spot weld drill bits - nice and cheap - the one i got was aobut £3 and has done loads
