I have a MK1 Ford Escort 1969 that I have had since I’ve been 22 I’m now 40. I’m in the process of importing it from RSA. I’m looking around for insurance for the vehicle but because I have only been in the UK for 2 years I’m battling to get a quote. Can anyone offer any suggestions ? Also has anyone on the forum imported there vehicle from RSA is there anything I need to know? 1
Admin Vista Posted June 25, 2019 Admin Report Posted June 25, 2019 Yes, make sure you have the original South African registration document (not a copy) when you try to register it here. If it doesn't have the date of original manufacture on it, you will need the support of a V765 registered Owner's Club to identify and date it for you. We are such a club and can help in that regard.
