Hi there I am doing a Ford  100e a Pinto conversion just need some help on the rear axle I’ve  been told of the 105E is the axle to use but I have a mark 2 escort rear axle what’s it like to put in fabrication  and what to look out for etc thanks

If the wheels can take them - RS Escort 9 inch drums are about as good as drum brakes get - could use discs but its a lot more work for not a lot of gain!

But in a light car with a ton of cast iron up front wouldnt think they are needed, didnt ford use smaller drums on the rs2000..

Yes I’m going to run drums I’ll see about a disc conversion when I eventually get to drive it but What master cylinder do I run it’s one of the things I’m pretty unsure about thanks guys

Correction - MK1 RS2000 had 8" drums. MK2 had 9"
